KILL IT KID

‘Ignore them at your peril.’ Artrocker
‘Uncontrived, Kill It Kid are a brave, raw talent’ - BBC Introducing
‘Thrillingly unaffected, delightful’ - Music Week
“Demands attention from the off… the strength and depth of their songs belie their age” – Clash Magazine
These are just some of the glowing descriptions that have been bestowed on Kill It Kid since their formation in 2008.
Discovered by producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, The Eels) as a group of unknown students, the speed and strength of their rise has been remarkable. Their live impact is such that they were signed by record label One Little Indian on the strength of only a handful of performances.
Kill It Kid's distinctive sound- a deliberate evocation of the Americana blues of the mid-20th century- has drawn positive comment from all quarters, with particular praise being lavished upon the harmonies and interplay between singers Chris Turpin and Stephanie Ward (Clash magazine described their combination as “recalling a brooding Anthony Hegarty singing whiskey-soaked lullabies to Alison Krauss”). Their debut album Kill It Kid|- produced, mixed and recorded by Ryan Hadlock (Johnny Flynn, The Strokes, The Gossip)- attracted an avalanche of favourable reviews from the British music press and recent singles Pray On Me PRAY ON ME by CHRISTOPHER TURPIN,STEPHANIE WARD| and Heart Rested With You HEART RESTED WITH YOU by CHRISTOPHER TURPIN| have been similarly lauded.
The Kassner group represents the publishing rights to Pray On Me, Heart Rested With You and all the songs on Kill It Kid.
