THE JUNGLE BROTHERS JOIN THE KASSNER ROSTER

The Kassner Music Group today agreed an administration deal with US publisher We Blows Up Music for the world outside of the US and Canada. Owned by one of hip hop’s most influential figures, DJ Red Alert, We Blows Up Music represents songwriting duo Nathaniel Hall and Michael Small, otherwise known as Afrika Baby Bam and Mike G, the frontmen of seminal hip-hop act The Jungle Brothers.

Through the deal, the Kassner Music Group will administer the rights of We Blows Up Music in respect of the first three Jungle Brothers albums, Straight Out of the Jungle, Done By The Forces of Nature and JBeez Wit The Remedy, together with The Prodigy classic Jericho WHAT U WAITIN' 4 by NATHANIEL HALL,MICHAEL SMALL|, The Roots’ Pussy Galore, The Black Eyed Peas’ Like That and Buddy BUDDY (ORIGINAL VERSION) by NATHANIEL HALL,MICHAEL SMALL,KAMMAAL FAREED,PAUL HUSTON,DAVID JOLICOEUR,VINCENT MASON,KELVIN MERCER|, a track appearing on De La Soul’s bestselling album Three Feet High and Rising.

The catalogue contains the majority of the Jungle Brothers' most high profile successes, including I’ll House You I'LL HOUSE YOU by NATHANIEL HALL,MICHAEL SMALL,TODD TERRY|, What U Waitin’ For? WHAT U WAITIN' 4 by NATHANIEL HALL,MICHAEL SMALL| and Because I Got It Like That BECAUSE I GOT IT LIKE THAT (ULTIMATUM MIX) by NATHANIEL HALL,MICHAEL SMALL,JEFF LYNNE|. Other popular tracks such as Black Is Black BLACK IS BLACK by NATHANIEL HALL,MICHAEL SMALL|, Doin’ Our Own Dang DOIN' OUR OWN DANG by NATHANIEL HALL,MICHAEL SMALL,LIONEL RICHIE,SIMONE JOHNSON,WALTER ORANGE,KAMMAAL FAREED,DAVID JOLICOEUR,KELVIN MERCER| and Promo No. 2 (Mind Review ’89) PROMO NO.2 (MIND REVIEW '89) by NATHANIEL HALL,MICHAEL SMALL| contain guest appearances by fellow members of the Native Tongues hip-hop collective that the Jungle Brothers founded, such as A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and Monie Love.

The deal was the product of the work of Alex Kassner from the Kassner Music team and, for We Blows Up Music, respected US lawyer and former manager of Public Enemy Ron Skoler|.
