The race for Christmas #1 hots up as Frank Sidebottom’s comic masterpiece Christmas Is Really Fantastic CHRISTMAS IS REALLY FANTASTIC by CHRIS SIEVEY|goes on sale today as a digital download single.
The papier-mâché-headed bard of Timperley is making his bid for the festive top spot with a classic novelty track about everything that makes Christmas great!
The single follows the November release of Frank Sidebottom’s Fantastic Show Biz Box Set|, the definitive collection of everything Frank Sidebottom. The box set contains over 120 tracks from Frank’s vinyl releases, a DVD of live performances, original artwork, a foreword by BBC6 Music’s Marc Riley and sleeve notes by showbiz pals Badly Drawn Boy, Mark Radcliffe, John Thomson, Iain Lee & John Cooper Clarke to name just a few.
The box set and single have been released to celebrate the comic icon Frank Sidebottom, whose creator Chris Sievey sadly passed away earlier this year. For every single sold 5p plus VAT will be paid to Macmillan Cancer Support|* (Charity Registered in England & Wales (261017) and in Scotland (SC039907)).
